2009 Speed Venture Summit™ Investor Profile

The Speed Venture Summit™ is the premier speed-dating-style event for fast-growth businesses and investors in New England, brought to you by the New Hampshire High Technology Council and the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center.

The Speed Venture Summit™ brings together entrepreneurs and business owners with accredited investors in Angel Groups, Venture Firms, and other Private Capital Groups for "speed pitches", where after 15 minutes the investor knows whether it wants to invite the company back for a full management presentation. It is the venture equivalent of “speed dating”, and leaves the “next steps” in the hands of the investors and companies.

The Speed Venture Summit is an opportunity for companies to privately pitch their growth stories in person to suitable investors.
• When is the next Speed Venture Summit?
The next Speed Venture Summit is planned for late October 2010: Speed Pitching: 2-5:15 pm, Business Networking Reception: 5:15-7:30 pm.
• Where is the next Speed Venture Summit?
The 2010 Speed Venture Summit has not yet been scheduled.

Featuring the hottest growing companies in New England, the Speed Venture Summit™ is open to businesses from all industries, and is promoted throughout the region. The 2008 Speed Venture Summit™ hosted 50 companies, about half of which were based in New Hampshire. The balance represented the other five New England states.

In order to facilitate the screening process through which we consider the Investors' investment criteria and match them with the most suitable companies, we ask each of the company applicants to identify the market sector they serve from the following categories:

The Speed Venture Summit™ is working with the nationally-acclaimed services of The University of NH Center for Venture Research to analyze and report on the results of last year’s inaugural Speed Venture Summit™.
